The Green Standard for the World

The world is addicted to oil. Energy is just as important as food. The world’s population is growing, not shrinking and quality of life is improving in many third world countries, meaning a greater demand for oil. Unfortunately, we have a limited supply of oil and it’s only a matter of time before we run out. What would happen if we had no electricity, no fuel, no energy? We would revert back to the dark ages, yet that is exactly what will happen if we don’t act now to find and develop alternatives.

Now imagine an energy source that can be harvested 2-3 times a week vs. 1-2 times a year. Imagine a renewable energy source that helps the environment by feeding on harmful CO2, helps to recycle water and doesn’t compete with valuable food crops. Algae is one of the most ancient forms of stored sun energy, many with 50%-70% of their weight as oil. Our dependence on energy will not go away but life as we know it on our beloved planet will if we continue to destroy it. Algae requires less acreage than any other feedstock, can be grown on marginal land, and has higher yields than any other feed stock. It’s no wonder why Algae Biomass and Biodiesel constitute the best path to a brighter cleaner future. Algae is “Green Gold”.
